Current reality and scripted television shows provide the basis for various Halloween costume ideas.
The article Halloween Costumes for Tween Girls has received numerous opinions regarding the suggested outfits, from positive to the not-so-positive (and that’s putting it lightly.) That article focused on three different ideas (geisha, flapper, genie); obviously there are endless other choices. Since Halloween is approaching again, and tween girls are again searching for a perfect costume, here are some more suggestions… for better or worse. (Note: Not exclusive to tweens -- going to a costume party? Adults can wear these, too.) Bravo-Inspired CostumesWho isn’t addicted to at least one of the many reality shows on Bravo? (Those that deny are suspected of lying!) Most of the shows have a fairly recognizable “look” -- such as the following: Top Chef ContestantThis is a fairly simply costume; simply find a white chefs uniform, which is mostly what the contestants are seen wearing on the show. Possible accessory is a cooking tools/knife collection, although leave the real knives at home.

Remember, these are simply suggestions that can be used as a jumping off point for other ideas. There are always standards to fall back on (no doubt a countless number of young girls will dress as the “Twilight” characters), but the repeated sentiment seems to be that girls want costumes that are unique and original. Don’t be scared to come up with a completely fresh idea -- others won’t make fun of you, they’ll be impressed by your creativity.
